Alexandra Vivelo, Ph.D.

Alexandra Vivelo is a scientist specializing in the biological processes underlying climate change. They also have two books coming soon from Bloomsbury (as AJ Van Belle): A Dozen Dystopias and How to Dodge Them (YA) and From Mushrooms to the Moon (adult). They’re also an award-nominated fiction author. They live with their family on Vancouver Island in Canada.

 

They've illustrated two children’s textbooks published by J. Weston Walch. After receiving their bachelor’s degree in art, they worked as a printing company’s in-house illustrator. Their paintings and drawings have won awards and been exhibited internationally.
